Another Sean Dinkins story. My car didn’t make it out of the driveway this morning on my way to work (steering issue). I contacted him after seeing so many great experiences on here…he responded to my message quickly, came to my house this afternoon and diagnosed the problem within minutes. As a bonus he reassured me-as this is just another stress on top of a rough year! Thank you Sean for your expertise (and emotional support). Just had Sean Dinkins do an oil change for me! He not only had a very flexible availability but went above and beyond to put air in my tires and ask me if I knew why my engine light was on because he was going to check things out to find out why for me (but I already know why). He even took time to reset my oil gauge so I can continue keeping track of my percentage used! Definitely calling him for anything I need! Stellar guy stellar work! I need to give a shout out to Sean Dinkins. I came out of my kids’ recital to a flat tire (that’s what I get for parking on the side of the road) caused by this huge metal…thingy. Anyway, Sean cam to my house and was able to actually fix my tire within about 15 min for ridiculously low price. Not sure what voodoo he did, but glad to not need a new tire (although I bet that would have been ridiculously cheap as well). Give him a shout if you are having a car issue! Sean Dinkins He is the guy! He fixed my brakes, rotors, helped me with a flat tire…..got me 2 tires (after mine shredded from NO tread), oil changed my car and husband’s SUV. This is a big thank you to Sean Dinkins. We had an unfortunate series of events which caused my wife’s BMW to stall and not start. We had it towed to Wilmington BMW dealer. Got a call the next day saying the cause of failure was directly correlated to the work done by whomever did our last oil change (which was by Sean a few months prior). The car was only a year old and had a full warranty on it. It was a very awkward conversation to bring up being that we all are neighbors, but he jumped right up and was more than happy to help us out and dig deeper into what exactly happened. Sean drove up to the Wilmington dealer to inspect the vehicle himself.
Sean exposed some shady business tactics that the dealership had used against us. Come to find out, the mechanic that met with Sean couldn’t even give a straight answer as to why they could so easily pin the culprit of the failure to the oil filter, and there was not enough reasonable doubt to void the warranty on its repair and cause of failure.
I can’t thank him enough. If we didn’t know Sean or we had gotten the work done at some other business, BMW could have completely taken advantage of us and we could have been responsible for a $1300 repair. Not only shows the he takes care of his neighbors, but stands behind his work and has pride in what he does. If anyone is interested it’s Union Park BMW. We called 4 times as well as Sean to get updates with the situation and left voicemails. We never got a single return phone call or explanation form anyone. Once again, thank you Sean -Randi McCauley
